Seat updates model line-up for 2019

Most of the Spanish brand’s model range is receiving model year upgrades.

Seat has announced updates to a large number of its cars, as part of an effort to make its cars more attractive to buyers.

The Spanish brand is committed to offering customers superb standard equipment levels, and last year announced that it was removing most optional extras across its range. This policy – known as ‘Easy Move’ – is in response to changes in consumer buying habits, Seat said.

And for the latest model year, the brand is ensuring buyers continue to benefit from improved standard equipment to offer customers better value for money.

The popular Ateca crossover now comes with an eight-inch touchscreen as standard – replacing a smaller 6.5-inch unit, along with additional rear USB ports. Dynamic Chassis Control, which can adjust between ‘Sport’ and ‘Comfort’ settings is also now available on high-spec trim levels, along with a new Crystal Black colour.

The smaller Arona crossover now comes in a new Emocion Red colour, along with standard-fit DAB radio and heated seats on FR Sport and Xcellence grades.

The popular Leon, available as a hatchback or an estate, is the model to receive the greatest number of updates. For the latest model a special edition Sport Black Matt trim level. This comes with a black styling pack, black 18-inch alloy wheels and microsuede seats. New colours are now available, while the Leon ST model has also been renamed to the Leon Estate, too.

Finally, the seven-seat Alhambra MPV, which benefits from improved standard equipment, with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, blind spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition included on all versions.
